There was a post a few weeks ago about getting a passport or passport renewal at the downtown Barrie canada and I wanted to provide the experience and what to expect. First a mask is required to go in so bring your own if you can. Secondly they only have 2 people doing the paperwork. if you did not book an appointment and are waiting outside, expect the wait time to be out of control. Give yourself at least 3 hours to see someone if you haven’t booked online. My recommendation is to use their booking system. it cuts that way down. It will take 2 months to get a passport. If you need it faster I think they send you to Toronto or have a method of expediting the process.
Hope this is helpful, but man was it painful. Not as bad as Toronto, but service Ontario is more efficient somehow.
