Are you looking for a hands-on and educational activity for your kids this summer

Are you looking for a hands-on and educational activity for your kids this summer?

Fresh Food Weekly is hosting a ‘Healthy Cooking Summer Workshop for Kids’ fundraiser on Monday, July 17th at Countryside United Church from 3-5pm for children ages eight to 12.

Children will be making a crispy chicken parmesan for the main course, and lemon raspberry scones for dessert, so your child will come home with dinner ready to eat!

This two-hour workshop will be taught by my mom, Mary Dyck, who is donating her time to help out with this fundraiser! My mom has had a big influence on my own eating habits because she has spent the last eight years teaching children about eating healthy, out of Soldier’s Memorial Hospital in Orillia.

50% of the registration fee will go towards feeding recipients currently on our food security program (the rest is for food!)

For more information and how to register, please visit:

Thank you,

Leah Dyck
