So i am spending my morning with this handsome fellow in my backyard:) I do believe he is someone’s pet and not a stray because he does respond to commands, and he is wearing a collar it just doesn’t have an information tag. My son Cameron lost it, we are checking the Barrie Colts arena & left a message there & so far we have called the places he visited afterwards & no luck. It’s just a fake unit to, not a real one. He took all the free items and left his huge garbage bag at our curb. Such a heroic performance, pathetic mentality. 👎👎👎🤬😡

It looks like as of September 2025. The city of Barrie is going to have these automated large carts for waste and green bins. 😡 What about people that don’t have the ability to store them or seniors or people with disabilities? I think this is very poorly thought out and it’s not going work well. They’re probably going to charge us for this as well too on our property, taxes or water bill. Thoughts anyone? I know when they implemented this in Simcoe County back in 2021 when Barrie was exempt lot of residents were not happy with the changes. Source
