For those of you who don’t know, This is Thor Jackson-Maeck. He is my son. He is 15 years old and attends bear creek secondary public school. He is 6ft 1, 185lbs and has Brown hair and blue eyes. He has been missing from his father’s house since Wednesday of last week. He was last seen today off of ferndale in Barrie. We don’t know where he is. Where he is staying. A report has been made with Barrie city police with no luck. If anyone has any information on his whereabouts it would be greatly appreciated. Listen up! It is not acceptable for you to put your dog crap in other people’s green bin. I put my green bin out this morning and just now went to add something else before it gets picked up. I found a bag of dog crap has been put in there and it is NOT a compostable waste bag; this is 2 weeks in a row now, same thing, and they won’t pick it up when they assume there are non compostable items in there. Take your dog crap home with you! Please and thank you!!! Source

*****ATTENTION BARRIE RESIDENTS***** On Saturday June 8th 2024, please join us for a fundraiser garage sale on Barrett Crescent! Lots and lots of cool items, hot dogs, drinks, and baked items for sale!!!! There will also be a 50/50 draw!! All proceeds are going to help a local family who has been struggling ever since their son Dean became very ill with a rare brain stem infection. Dean became suddenly ill back in April of this year and was rushed down to St.Mikes hospital where he was put into a drug induced coma and on life support. While admitted he contracted a lung, chest and spine infection as well as pneumonia. They found multiple lesions on his brain and had to drill holes in his head to try to reduce swelling. Weeks go by and they still don’t know the cause of the infection or the bacteria that caused it. It took almost a month for the doctors to figure out the bacteria causing the infection and after multiple set backs Dean was moved back to RVH to continue treatment…
