August 14th is Free Barrie Banana Boating Day This offer is to everyone who offered a word of encouragement or expressed their support towards our water sports business on our last facebook post (we loved your feedback)…or anyone who has rented jet skis or parasails with us. YUP!! Parasailing is available in Barrie tomorrow only! Call 705-430-3596 to book parasailing Donations will be accepted how ever not required and 100% of donations will go to a local community organization or someone in need of assistance. Barrie transit revamp is making things worse. 3 same direction buses arriving within a 10min window? Delayed for 35mins? Solution is simple: add more buses. 3 buses per regular route and 2 for express is just not enough. Or try go express when delayed. Or just scrap the ToD and put them as “rescue” buses when you can’t make the schedule. At the end the ToD never comes either. Tried 4 times, and regular buses arrived earlier. Source

Hoping someone may have dash cam footage of the accident at the intersection on Anne and Sunnidale at around 8:50-9pm The light turned green and a white car (I think lancer) came flying up beside me in my lane and caused me to go down, Then took off up Anne Street. Source

Found this on my walk today in Livingstone Street W. To the person(s) who left it in the bus stand. Please be considerate with public property. People cannot sit when they wait for the bus and it’s not the city’s responsibility to cleanup after you. Source

We stopped by the Ontario SPCA Barrie Animal Centre to drop off the donation today! The boys want to thank everyone again for supporting them! This has been such a wonderful experience for them 🥰🐾

Just had the weirdest encounter- my ring camera went off but no one rang the doorbell- went to the door and this person was sitting on my porch and said they were waiting for a taxi - Esther drive - not sure what the intent was. Source

This cat been following me around. Used the AirTag on it to find the owner but seems the phone number is private. It might go home on its own but just in case it’s around the south side of Barrie between the streets of Stunden Lane and Catherine Drive. Source
