When you come to the Mapleview you exit from the 400 where’s there’s 2 right turn lanes and 2 left turn lanes, you turn into the lane THAT YOU ARE IN, not the middle lane when you’re in the far right lane. Would love to get the opinion of Barrie residence on whether or not organized Jetski rentals is something Barrie needs. We have deliberately built this set up to eliminate the liability for the City of Barrie. Rentals are guided to ensure that renters are limited to a specific riding area. All drivers must meet age requirement, as well as carry on them, Transport Canada approved, temporary boater permit. And of course we’re fully insured. Our goal is to allow easier water access for those if you wish to be on the water this summer while respecting others. We’ve pulled back several stranded boats, rescued paddle boarders and save a drowning man so we’re not off to a bad start. And we purchased a Barrie Marina launch pass so we’re not free loading. Huge thanks to whoever hit my car Wednesday in innisfil on Bassingthwaite Ct. Really appreciate the few grand in damages on parts that i cant just go out and buy(what you also cant see is the fender is buckled in 3 places so who knows whats hiding underneath) Source

Thought I’d share since I thought it was cute with a happy ending♥️ Saw a mama raccoon this morning wondering around the trash and when I looked inside I saw 4 babies stuck and couldn’t get out! I got a long stick to put in the trash and they were finally able to get out😊 Mama was waiting around the corner the whole time! Source

This is an ongoing issue at this address downtown. There are rats and skunks crawling around in this disgusting pile of trash. City of Barrie has been notified several times by neighbouring buildings yet this remains. How is this allowed?! If this was in a subdivision I can guarantee the homeowner would have been forced to deal with it. Source

I’m aware they are wild I’m just posting to those in the area who walk dogs or have outdoor cats that there’s a Coyote walking up to peoples houses sniffing around on Chaucer Crescent we managed to scare it away from attacking a cat. Source

Not sure if anyone could help out but I found this bird (not sure what kind of bird it is) poor guys wing seems to be hurt! I tried calling wildlife rescue centres and they were all full except for one place called shades of hope they said if you could catch him and put him in a box and keep him over night and bring him in the morning they would take him in. I feel so bad I want to help but I cant keep him in my room I have two cats, and also no way to bring him in to the rescue place ! 😞 if anyone could help him out he’s in the old navy and zhers parking lot on bayfield street!!
