Ok, clarification : I don’t give a crap about getting tickets

Ok, clarification : I don't give a crap about getting tickets, I'm concerned about the kids. I would think the more warnings the better to keep kids from getting hit...why not have as many warnings as possible unless it's more about revenue and less about safety? If speed traps in the school zone on Cundles was really about child safety then why have they covered the warning lights on school zone signage? How is this legal and how does it not actually subtract from how safe it is? Source

The light is from the big Barrie Police investigation unit

The light is from the big Barrie Police investigation unit. Last night around 9pm on Henry st by Frances st it seems there was an attempted B&E. Another tenant in my house was out walking his dog and confronted some guy all in black with a full mask with only eyes showing scoping out a house. He confronted them and was told to eff off so he called 911. In no time a bunch of cops rolled up guns drawn and took the guy down. Be diligent out there. Lock your doors, get security systems, door bell cams, bat by your door whatever you need to add a layer of safety for your family. This city is falling apart.. what’s it going to take for us to be done with all this crap? Cause you know the catch and release program will have this guy back out in no time… Source

Hello this is my last ditch effort to find my rings

Hello this is my last ditch effort to find my rings. I was wearing these rings on Saturday night in downtown Barrie. Both of them were gifts from my grandmother and they fell off at the Alley or Queens Hotel. I have contacted both establishments and they don’t have them. I’m hoping maybe someone picked them up, if so can you please return them? They’re not valuable in money but in they’re really sentimental. I’ll also pay a finders fee if you have them. Source

Well, up until now, I’ve only heard how crappy the new garbage and yard waste collection

Well, up until now, I've only heard how crappy the new garbage and yard waste collection is, until now. The City of Barrie please explain what we are to do here. Because there is no longer a designated pick up date for yard waste and we are to have it out at the curb by Monday at 7am, it can sit for a few days. That means, if it rains, it sits in the rain awaiting to be picked up. So, my bag was half full of grass clippings and they didn't take it. As a few others our street experienced as well. So...should we leave the bags only 1/4 full just in case it rains and they don't want to lift them? What a waste. Source
