Good morning friends of Fresh Food Weekly

Good morning friends of Fresh Food Weekly, We’re still looking for three more delivery drivers for Tuesday’s delivery day (Oct. 31st - Halloween!). Delivery routes consist of 5-6 deliveries in Barrie sometime between 4-5:30pm. Depending on traffic, it should take between 1-1.5 hours to do. Pickup is at Countryside United Church in Thornton. This is also a great way for high school students to get a few community service hours in as well, as long as they can drive or have a parent/friend who can drive them to do these 5-6 deliveries. Each program recipient receives an average of three bags, so it would actually be helpful for teens to pair up and do deliveries together 🙂 (both will get hours!). All they need to do is bring their community service hour sheet with them when they come to pickup their deliveries at the church 🤗. If you’re able to help with a delivery route this Tuesday, please send me a PM! ❤️ Thank you! 🙏 Leah Dyck #charity #foodcharity #Barrie #Innisfi…

The mom in me is sad for this little guy I found by the church on Letitia st.

The mom in me is sad for this little guy I found by the church on Letitia st. Any rescues or anyone who can help it out? I have 2 cats who would use it as a play toy if I attempted to bring it into my house lol Was in the middle of the sidewalk and if it wasn't for him being on his back with arms flailing I would have stepped on it Moved it onto the yard it was by, idk if it will survive the day with how young it looks. Eyes were barely open and it could barely walk, not sure if it's mom is nearby or not. Source

I would like to ask any Barrie residents that are as upset as I am

Hello! I would like to ask any Barrie residents that are as upset as I am about the paid parking lots in all medical buildings across our city to please consider emailing Doug Downey at the below email. You could also send emails to Alex Nuttel and your Ward councillor; all of their emails are on the city of barrie website. I am not sure how it is legal to charge residents these absurd parking fees to receive medical treatment in Barrie. These companies from other parts of the world have purchased the lots and we should all rise up together and REFUSE to allow this to happen. Ontario medical care should be FREE, and nobody should be refused medical care if they cannot afford to pay for parking. Sorry for the rant; I am heated and hope you are too. Source
