My gf car was broken into last night oct 1 by the Manhattan area. Ferndale and Dunlop area. All the stuff that was taken for cards and stuff. Really need back the computer. Its work computer and the usb drives. None of this stuff is useful to the individuals or person that took this stuff. If anyone hears something or see computer laying around. Message me here Any information would be greatly appreciated. Source

I wake up this morning to find my car has been broken into and my stuff rummaged through. The vehicle smells horribly like stale cigarette smoke, which tells me they sat in my car for awhile as they went through my papers and glove compartment 😡🥺. As far as I can tell, nothing was taken except for a couple of chocolate bars I had bought for my friend's son. I feel so violated and scared. I lived in the inner city of Toronto for years and I've never encountered such brazen and disgusting low lifes. Since we moved to this city, our door has been tampered with and the locks picked, our icicle lights that we hung in our back deck were cut, and several personal items have disappeared. I am both angered and saddened that this is happening but mostly I'm just scared! Nobody should be fearful in their home. I think my family and I have to rethink our decision to live here. Source

tonight as I was stopped at the intersection on Mapleview that enters onto the 400 northbound a man approached my car at a red light knocking on my window trying to get me to roll down my window to ask what street I was on. Instantly my gut told me to make sure my doors were locked and to obviously not roll down my window since I found it weird that he had a working phone in his hand, he could have simply looked it up or literally turned his head up to see the street signs. Once he realized that I was not going to roll down my window to talk to him he quickly left. I wanted to post this a reminder for women of barrie to stay safe and keep a keen eye out for weird things happening, I hope no one else has had this happen to them Source

Just woke up this morning and 2 of my cars were broken into they used tools

Just woke up this morning and 2 of my cars were broken into they used tools to get in all the tint on the passenger and drivers side is scratched, doors were locked, located on eden ***Update*** Our neighbour had a camera a few doors down and our house was targeted the guy seemed to be wearing a red or orange hoody with a black back pack and red shoes he only went to our house and walked off a few minutes later. Very scary definitely since I have a baby on the way!!! Source

We live in the south west end of Barrie and today I came out to my driveway to find a large smear of ink on my door handle. Definitely wasn’t me by mistake. I don’t see any other handles with this and I don’t want to be paranoid. Wondering if anyone has noticed markings like this on their vehicles. Source

Reaching out about some vandalism done to my car.

Reaching out about some vandalism done to my car. Wondering if anyone was at the Queens Friday Sept 9th in the evening and was possibly parked in the back parking lot or was in the parking lot. Some of the parking back there is tenant parking and and my space was almost taken up by a large black pickup truck. I still parked in my spot but there was no space for that truck to open the driver side door. I left a note apologizing for the lack of space and that it's tenant parking. Well it seems the driver felt it necessary to rip off my rear wiper blade. Source

Hey everyone, just wanted to give anyone in the neighborhood of Anne Street North

Hey everyone, just wanted to give anyone in the neighborhood of Anne Street North a heads up our car was ransacked in broad daylight between 6-7pm tonight. We live a few houses up from Portage View public school. Nothing of value was taken, the fact my children and nieces were playing in my open back yard at the time is much more upsetting. I understand people checking cars has been a common issue around Letitia area in the middle of the night, but it was still bright out and on a busy street. It’s unsettling to say the least. I’ve filed a police report, but there wasn’t any damage so not much they can do/pursue. Just check your vehicles and keep an eye on your kiddos. Source
