Story time.
So… I decided to take my kids to the park yesterday afternoon. Riverwood park that is on kozlov st, right behind the kozlov mall.
Anyways I decide to bring along my sweet little pup bindi who’s only 12 weeks old. So we get there and I go sit down in the grass under a tree in the shade with her running around being cute loving the grass. Kids are playing all is swell.
Well I look down and see a broken glass down stem (for a bong) so I asked hubby if he could grab that and throw it away so he did. 😑 continue playing and having a normal afternoon.
Well, a few hours later while home we go to check on her as she was having a nap with my daughter and something is just off. I said literally verbatim-“somethings off with her she isn’t right, call it mothers intuition but she’s not okay” after I said that, she’s cross eyed, falling over, head bobbing all over the place and can’t even hardly move. She’s stiff, will not eat or drink and the water works start happening at that point. I mean I am literally weeping over my puppy in distress thinking shes going to die. (The sight was not funny or cute, it was actually petrifying) my husband said we need to take her to the emergency vet so we did.
On the way there my hubby tells me that after he threw that broken down stem away, he caught bindi with a roach in her mouth. He thought it was a dirty cigarette butt but he had a feeling it was a roach. After we get her in there and get her checked out by the vet it’s pretty clear my freaking 12 week old dog is stoned out of her mind.
In hindsight thank god, because if it were something more serious I’d be devastated. However I’m still so pissed off that I can’t even bring my 12 week old pup to a literal children’s playground for one hour without her coming home wasted.
Make no mistake, we’re a stoner friendly family over here so I don’t care about that but pick up your roach when you’re done? Don’t leave broken glass from your bong everywhere at a children’s park? Idk. Isn’t that just common sense? This was our first time ever bringing our dog to a park and i think it’s gunna be our last for a long long time. She’s just a baby, it breaks my heart. So just please be careful with your pups at these parks I guess. And if you smoke weed or smoke anything for that matter, put it out and throw it in a nearby garbage can or take it home. It’s not cute when a puppy is stoned it’s terrifying, and it costs money to bring them to the vet so there’s that as well. 😑 she’s fine now but that was scary and just unnecessary. Pic of my pup before she got stoned.
