Today I sent my daughter to Oakley park public school

Today I sent my daughter to Oakley park public school (on Grove street) wearing my hoodie that i had custom made for myself. As she was away from her things for the second time now her things have disappeared. I have already spoken with the school who is looking for said sweater. if anyone comes across it please contact me, because id like it back as soon as possible as this was again a custom made hoodie for me. there are no others the same. i will know it if i see it, and have quite a few others aware that is missing, and to be returned if found. Below is a photo of said sweater. please share around, and hopefully. i will be able to have it returned. The hood has the a big moon on it, as well as both sides are covered in the entire cast of nightmare before christmas, it has a silky soft feel too it, and is a baggy fit. Source

I’m really concerned about the new homeless shelter being set up in the east end

I’m really concerned about the new homeless shelter being set up in the east end of Barrie, especially since it is located near multiple schools. While I get that these shelters are necessary, I think it’s crucial for the community to be part of the conversation. We need to ensure that there are adequate support services and security measures in place to protect everyone, including our children. Let’s push for more transparency and open discussions so we can find a solution that works both for the residents and the shelter occupants Source

However, my perspective changed today when I had the chance to meet some of those same people face-to-face. They turned out to be sweet, friendly, and gentle. Some of them have clearly been through tough times, likely due to challenges rooted in their past, but others were genuinely kind and smart. Tonight, they were filled with gratitude after enjoying a delicious dinner. All thanks to the Busby Centre, Sammi Wagg, and an amazing team of volunteers for making this possible. 160 people went to bed with full, happy stomachs tonight. I promise to be more compassionate and open as I continue to learn about Canada and the people here, and all I ask is for that same compassion in return—for myself and for those li…
