Saw a mama raccoon this morning wondering around the trash and when I looked inside I saw 4 babies stuck and couldn’t get out! I got a long stick to put in the trash and they were finally able to get out😊 Mama was waiting around the corner the whole time!

This is an ongoing issue at this address downtown. There are rats and skunks crawling around in this disgusting pile of trash. City of Barrie has been notified several times by neighbouring buildings yet this remains. How is this allowed?! If this was in a subdivision I can guarantee the homeowner would have been forced to deal with it.

Not sure if anyone could help out but I found this bird (not sure what kind of bird it is) poor guys wing seems to be hurt! I tried calling wildlife rescue centres and they were all full except for one place called shades of hope they said if you could catch him and put him in a box and keep him over night and bring him in the morning they would take him in. I feel so bad I want to help but I cant keep him in my room I have two cats, and also no way to bring him in to the rescue place ! 😞 if anyone could help him out he’s in the old navy and zhers parking lot on bayfield street!!

Around 9 pm last night my family including child were startled by a huge bang
Around 9 pm last night my family including child were startled by a huge bang by our front door. We quickly jumped . Our child was extremely terrified..screaming and crying (toddler). As our child I believe seen someone but but we looked and there was nobody around so we continued on with our evening. This morning as my partner left for work he noticed that somebody had actually attempted to kick in our front door!!!..they would have opened the screen door first to do this.... It's off its hinges. Were a little shookin up knowing someone may have attempted to break into our home.
We are wondering if this has happened to anyone else in the area.. Grove/Peel.
We are are a normal family and can't think of anyone who would do this or why we would be a target for anything like this.
