A man came knocking on my door this morning asking to use the bathroom. He was unashamed to say that his hemorrhoids broke and needed to use a bathroom badly. As much as I wanted to believe him, of course I didn't let him in. A few weeks ago, a random person knocked on our door saying that he heard there was a room for rent in our house, which kind of creeped us out! We just moved here from Toronto over the summer and never encountered this kind of thing. Is random door knocking normal? What would their motive be if there are cars in the driveway and people clearly home? Sunnidale area.

Just wanted to warn everyone, today I was walking down Toronto at Wellington, and as I was walking just besides Victoria Village I was about to step on this SNAKE! 😭 Just right in front of me. I never knew that there were snakes around downtown and now I’m kind of freaked out. Just be careful around Wellington and Toronto St area. Should I call someone? Like wildlife control or such? I have no idea what to do and not sure if the snake is harmless

I have some very exciting news to announce!!
I have finally secured a new, beautiful space in the South end of #Barrie, and it’s everything I need to make my charity a home! It even comes with a board room to talk strategies with my teams and volunteers!
So now I’ll be able to focus on helping even more families, more regularly.
In fact, Fresh Food Weekly will be partnering with a new catering company in Barrie, Ritchies Wings and Salad, to offer a new meal program for seniors. This partnership will allow us to deliver delicious, pre-made meals to low-income elderly individuals on a weekly basis.
Isn’t that awesome!? 👏🙌😄 I am BEYOND thrilled to be able to start doing this!!

I have a friend looking to invest in a franchise in Barrie. They have tried a few but the requirements for those franchises don’t meet their needs.
They are looking for something in the fast food area or even something like a M&M or Cinnabon (not necessarily fast food but “specialty” food stores) - please drop in the comments any ideas. Even if it’s second or third locations of an existing franchise.
Timmies/Starbucks/McDonald’s likely not on the table.

I feel ridiculous and frustrated this morning, as I got into my parked car in front of my house, someone crashed into my car, left the passenger door opened and went through all my stuff inside, took all the coins worth of 10-15bucks and 3 of my lottery tickets too. A week ago they got into my wife's car but we didn't loose. Talked to Barrie police and insurance company for safer side. Hoping that we didn't loose anything major. Be careful everyone. Make sure you guys lock your car and don't leave anything important in the car.

This lil cutie has been outside my house for some time and I’m starting to think he doesn’t have a home. He’s not friendly and he doesn’t come near people.
Anyways, today he was outside my house and I noticed he’s been hurt... he never gets close enough for anyone to see his face so I don’t know how long it’s been there, it looks like he was shot!! I don’t know how? I don’t know who? I don’t even know who’s cat this is... I do know he’s gotten both my cats pregnant though. So he is a male.
Is this anyones cat??? Who do I call??😭
