What happened? In the last two years it seems like people around here have lost their self respect. There’s so much more litter these days than their used to be. It’s disgusting. I picked up this much trash in less than 5 minutes of walking by the waterfront harbour today. If you see litter please pick it up. I’d you see others littering please ask them to pick it up. Please request more garbage bins around the city as well, there used to be more. Source

My dog was attacked/injured today at the Barrie Mapleview dog park by one of two collie type dogs, and I know who the owners are/made it known to them and they didn’t really seem to care. They did not offer to pay, nor did they think they would be or are responsible to pay for the $800 vet bill we will now be facing. They told us the dogs must’ve “tumbled” but we were watching them just chasing each other and then all of the sudden MY dog was screaming and limping. They told us my dog would be “fine” and to just “wash out it” and then just left😂. No info given or offered. You people know who you are and you WILL be paying for this. It doesn’t matter if it’s accidental and I could care less, if YOUR dog hurts another animal YOU ARE LIABLE. End of story. Barely take our dog to the dog park as is because things like this occur all too often, but NEVER had an issue in the last 2 years. I am absolutely fuming. Hello all, Sunday afternoon I lost one side of my golden tone hoop earring with little beads (around the size of a looney) near the water front downtown Barrie around the parking area and duck ponds most likely in the long grass. I looked multiple times that day and multiple days in a row but found nothing. I know it's a very high traffic area, I'm not sure if it's still there or if anyone has found it. An injured duck is at Hertiage Park, by the park bench near waters edge. she is unable to walk or fly. Reported to Ferris Lane Animal Hospital and Shades of Hope. If anyone is able to transport this duck to either locations, a natural mystic would thankful … I’m on my bicycle with no means to help this bird, other than reach here to Barrie Concerned Citizens Source

Anybody else in the south east end had a white cross chalk marked on to their house? We noticed it today next to the front door. We live on a sub division so could just be kids messing around but seems very random. Whoever did it would have had to walk up the path on to our porch right in front of a window so seems ballsy!
