Hello! If you or someone you know was struck by a vehicle today, August 25th, while travelling down Essa Road on your bicycle….. I witnessed the entire incident and was able to follow the vehicle. I have spoken with the police and provided a statement with description of the vehicle and their license plate number. They have located the driver, but without the cyclist they are limited on their ability to do much. I heard the impact, and thankfully it was the back of your bike and you were not injured and rode away, but there must be damage to your bike based on what I saw and heard. Even if not, please contact the police and report it. People can not get away with this type of behaviour and disregard for others. Next time they may actually hurt someone or even worse. Three guys invaded my car parked on 67 Eden Drive barrie in an operation that lasted two minutes around 4 am on Saturday, 19th of July 2023. I am putting the video out here should anybody in the community could identify them. Source

Cottage rental scam going around, we rented and cottage for a week paid over $2000 and the owner of the cottage arrived, that was not for rent. This scammer sent me a contract and invoice. Please be aware!! Please share Source

Looking for photo to attach My son had his brand new bike stollen from Cumberland street in Barrie. I have a small car. He literally rode this bike home from Walmart so excited for some freedom. It’s really shitty to take things that don’t belong to you. Parents if you child comes home with a bike a friend lent them. Ask questions. So disappointed The photo is the bike he picked I do have photos of him on it as well. Source

Just a reminder to lock your car doors if you live close to rose street or on rose street - almost everyone on the block has been complaining about break ins and stolen items, we happened to catch someone walking around and trying all our car doors thankfully they were locked but our neighbour got his wallet stolen and a few other items as well a few nights ago here’s the footage in case anyone needs it for reference Source

Watch your cars this morning near Dunlop West from at least Anne St to going towards downtown. This morning at 7am there was complete strangers walking down a dual driveway towards the back where cars are parked. When spoken to by someone, they attempted to mumble they knew somebody then unintelligible words before leaving and acting strange. Two women were unknown to any residents in either home, a third male was hiding on the opposite side of one of the homes. Source

If anyone recognizes these two people they just stole that bike by cutting the lock with the bolt cutters he has in that big food basics bag. At the TD at Big Bay Point and Yonge St. I have filed a report with the police and sent these pictures to the bikes owner. People that do these things are terrible Source
