Just curious to see if anyone else has encountered this yet of receiving text messages claiming that you haven’t paid your ETR bill if you have been on the 407? We haven’t been on since early Fall of 2023 and we paid that bill (will confirm with bank) my kiddo also received same text, so I am ignoring it for the moment. But also wanted to share for those who may have been on the 407 then get a message like this when you know you paid your bill. Happy Saturday Barrie residents! Source

This is a new type of scam They say they're out of town and they'll send you the money so you hold that item for them but it doesn't come up as e transfer threw your email or text it comes in on messager... just wanted to let people know before they put they bank account info into that cause then they will have ur card number and password. Friday nigh/Saturday Morning my car was broken into on Letitia and they attempted to steal it. They stole some things and slashed my dash cam Source

Last night at around midnight mine and my husbands vehicles were broken into, rummaged through and then they slashed my husbands tire on his new truck. His phone app for his vehicle went off to inform him his pressure was critically low at 1236 so we figure it must have happened minutes before. Delete is not allowed! I was at Walmart on Mapleview and witnessed a Mazda hit a Toyota that was parked I tried to say something but they ignored me and walked away if there’s any damages to your car (start of license plate is CWKN) I have there plates and description. Pm me. Source

I am reaching out to see if the person who hit the black suv parked on Glenwood Dr on Thurs Feb 9 2024 between 6pm and 8pm will come forward and DM me to provide me their insurance information or to make arrangements to pay for the repairs, I have video of this incident and it was a hit and run and will be reported I do not want to go that route if I don't have to. The South Simcoe Police Service is issuing a warning about online job scams after a Bradford woman fell victim to one. The victim responded to a Facebook ad for a part-time data entry job, and the hiring process moved to WhatsApp with 10 other people, giving the appearance of legitimacy. The victim was scammed into paying upfront funds to receive her commission for reviewing video games, but she never received any earnings. The police are advising the public to be cautious when applying for online jobs and to be wary of requests for upfront payments. Source
