So. I have a question!! My daughter is 5. We have 4 other grown children. We live in housing, in Barrie, have for 15 years. Our 5 year old was bitten last week by a Shephard, not leashed but in a half-assed fenced backyard ( we are not permitted to have the yard fenced in) she was with 5 other little girls playing close to that yard with the dog, on a slide and the dog got ahold of her arm. Thankfully it had a toy in its mouth or the damage would have been worse. My question is, am I wrong for wanting the animal removed from the property? The bylaw officer stated that because it was a bunch of children who witnessed it,( 5 year olds) they cannot lay charges or take the dog away. I am beyond upset and I will not accept this profound excuse. I’m in great hopes that with the email to the MP of Barrie as well as emailing the housing corporation that the dog will be removed. I feel as though it hasn’t been taken seriously and as a mother I’m… I’m upset, I’m furious, I’m sorry, I’m.. I’m a mess. I will post pictures of her arm .. I’m in hopes that the admin approves them.. obviously viewer descression advised. I also am writing a letter for a petition to have it removed! I will not wait until it happens again!
