This is very concerning. We were woken up early Saturday morning at 2:09am to the doorbell ring. We have a dog and she went nuts. My wife noticed someone getting in a car across the street. I put some clothes on went to the door. I looked outside there was no one to be seen. I proceeded to go out onto my deck with the dog. There was no one to be seen but this silver car parked across the road. I grab something to protect myself and walk right up to their car shining my flashlight in the drivers face until they open the window. I then I asked him did you ring my doorbell. he said no not me. So I shine my flashlight on the passenger. This guy was all slumped over trying to hide away. I asked him did he ring my doorbell he said he no as well. So I said someone in this car did. I asked who’s in the backseat. The back window open and the guy said wasn’t me I’m too drunk to run. At this point I notice there was 4 or 5 guys in the car around 17 - 20 years old. I then tu…

We received a memo from Georgian Mall security. Someone(s) have been loosening lug nuts the the parking lots. They have increased security staff and patrols and offered to escort anyone to their vehicles. Great job Georgian Mall for being proactive. Ladies if you have to pull over please do not accept help from strangers and let Barrie Police know. Be safe everyone Source

This is zeus. He went missing on Wellington street east

This is zeus. He went missing on Wellington street east between St. Vincent and Duckworth on Saturday evening and was last seen Sunday morning on my house camera at around 6:30 am. He is an orange tabby cat, medium/long hair, white tip on his tail. He is an indoor cat and is not used to the outdoors. He is declawed. He is greatly missed. Once again the city of Barrie sidewalk plow has ripped up my lawn.

Once again the city of Barrie sidewalk plow has ripped up my lawn. I know it’s the boulevard but I still have to cut it. This is the third year this has happened and it’s only November. I had to fix it myself in May this year as the City never responded to my request to fix. Does anyone know who I can call to get the City to fix it before the snow hits? My city counsellor is useless. Never respond to my calls. Source

TRIGGER WARNING, ATTACK! I was hoping I could find a guy named TJ here. I’m not sure about last names or anything but he helped my fiancé and I out when we got attacked last night in the Walmart parking lot on Bayfield st last night around 9pm. I wanted to hopefully reach out to him and thank him for staying with us until the police got there and to give the police officer a statement. My fiancé and I were attacked by a man in a truck with who I assume was his girlfriend. The man tried hitting us twice with his truck, after the second time, my fiancé started to yell at the man in the truck to stop. The man in the truck jumped out of it, and attacked my fiancé and started to choke him. Me being me, I tried getting involved to get the man to stop choking my fiancé. The man’s girlfriend came out of the truck and started yelling at her boyfriend to stop. The man then turned towards me, punched me straight in the face while still choking my fiancé.
