This city has a big epidemic going on all these homeless and drug addictions.Last night I had to go walk and meet up with my 16 year old because of everyone sleeping on the sidewalk in the bush my goodness...I walked by so many people crunched over blending in with the dark.Definitely some food for thought. Barrie folk! Get ready for an influx of homeless people. Unless they set up in a public park, sidewalk the Cops won’t do anything,same with City. If they are on your property cops will help you move them.. There is a vacant field across street from my house and homeless have put up a tent again. Cops told me there is no where to move them along to as the shelter is closing at end of month and over 200 more people will be roaming the streets!! I have tent neighbors right across street from my front door. Apparently seeing grown men poop in a field is something we cant do anything about! Unless they set up in a public park, sidewalk the Cops won’t do anything,same with City. If they are on your property cops will help you move them.. Far too many post of people complaining about the homeless in Barrie. Where exactly are they supposed to go? There has been posts in this group of people complaining about the homeless being on public streets, in fields out of the way and now I’m bushed areas. WHERE ARE THEY SUPPOSED TO GO??? They are being evicted from EVERYWHERE they settle into because you folks have a problem looking at them. Majority of the individuals on the street are just trying to catch a break and having to constantly pack up and move because they are reported makes things harder than they already are. You all will turn around and blame the city of Barrie, yet what are you doing about solving the issue yourself? Nothing. Just sitting on Facebook complaining that you have to look at HUMAN BEINGS. “Ugh they have clothes hanging up and pillows and blankets everywhere” Yeah, it’s called washing laundry to wear clean clothes and avoid infections and diseases.
