Hey again everyone!

Hey again everyone! It’s me again, from Fresh Food Weekly… So we’re looking for some volunteers to help us with some raspberry picking at Barrie Hill Farms next week on Wednesday, July 20th beginning at 8am! We need to pick 60 half pints! So hopefully we can get a lot of help next week! Right now, there’s a 60% chance of lightning that day, so we’ll obviously cancel if that happens, but we’ll make the call that morning. The weather forecast is likely going to change a trillion times by then anyways! We’re also looking for some more delivery drivers to help out with delivering our July meal boxes later on in the day that day. We’ll be putting the meal boxes together at Countryside United Church beginning at 2pm and will start doing the deliveries between 3-3:30pm. Just a heads up!! To anyone going to Dorian Park in Midhurst

Just a heads up!! To anyone going to Dorian Park in Midhurst (highway 27) please be careful using the washroom!! There is a spider that looks like it could be a black widow, right above the door! I had talked to someone else who said they reported it to the town, but I’m not sure what was done about it. I honestly was a bit skeptical, but after seeing for myself and what google lens had to say, it looks like it could be.  Please just use caution going in, I would hate for someone to get bitten by it. Source

Can Anyone Help- found this little guy at work and want to get him to the right person for care. His eyes are cloudy and white, yellow crusty’s also. Looks infection. UPDATE: Found my package through this group! Thank you so much.🎉🎉🎊🎊 It might be a long shot, but worth trying. My DHL package was delivered at the wrong address on Friday, I have been in touch with them since Monday to locate it but no luck. While they do their process, I thought I will check around. The tracking details say that it was delivered in the lobby. If you received a DHL package that was not yours, it has an address on it, I will appreciate you can just deliver it there or let me know and I will pick it. The items in the package have a great sentimental value for me. I would appreciate any help. I have attached the photo of where it was delivered. Source

Well it finally happened, I’ve lived on Dunlop Street for a year and

Well it finally happened, I’ve lived on Dunlop Street for a year and I’ve managed to not get my cars broken into. Last night someone broke into my husbands Car and there was nothing to take so they just threw the contents of the glove box onto the ground. Left both doors open for the front of the car and decided to leave us a gift beside the passenger door. Now what goes through some peoples minds that leaves them to shit on someone’s driveway Source

Hey Barrie Concerned Citizens!

Hey Barrie Concerned Citizens! So I just wanted to let you all know that we are still looking for help with sponsoring low-income families here in #Barrie. There are actually families and children starving right now. One of our recipients is a 50-something-year-old single mom raising her 20-year-old autistic son, working like a dog all the time. All she can afford to eat is one sandwich a day. The horrible truth is, this is pretty normal for a lot of people working low-wage jobs - especially here in Barrie where it’s mostly low-wage jobs and is ranked the third-most expensive housing market in Canada. Another recipient can’t even afford to buy a box of birthday cake mix so she can bake her young son a cake for his birthday. There are thousands of families here in Barrie struggling to survive right now and the food bank is only giving them enough food to last a week - maybe - and that’s not including toilet paper either.
